Subject

Description

This classic family-owned diner in Ballard has operated continuously from 1971 by Tom and Pete Economou until their passing, and now by Tom’s daughter, Angela. Part lounge, part restaurant in an historic building, it extends a warm vibe and is a wonderful place for a family outing. The Lounge portion is a place for hard workers to relax with a nice hardy drink. The Smoke Shop is the place to go for a well whiskey, a cheap can of cold beer, and a few pull tabs. The waitresses are old, beautiful and completely wonderful and the Smoke Shop is a treasure of a bar, even though you can't smoke there anymore.
